Dear Parents,
I sent home a special book bag with your child today. They each have a book in there to read to you called, In My Hat. They are excited to read it to you! Remind them to use their magic reading (tracking) finger. Please make a big deal out of their first book reading to you. Depending where they are at some will read and track the words right on and some will read more from memory. Either of these are great at this point! Help them with words if they need and ask them a question or two about their story. Make it a fun, positive, and short experience! Return the book and book bag each night it comes home. Thanks so much!!

For interviews please feel free to bring your child as they can show you their progress binders and celebrate their learning. If this doesn't work for you to bring your child or you want to discuss something without them, that is fine too. I look forward to seeing you soon!!
