June 2015 Newsletter
Dear Parents:
It is hard to believe that a whole
school year has almost passed and that it will soon be time to say good-bye to
the Kindergarten children.
The children have grown and changed
in so many ways and have learned so much. They have developed their
independence, become familiar with school rules and routines, made new
friendships, strengthened their fine motor abilities and developed their
academic learning.
June will be a very busy month in Kindergarten. It will be a month of
review and closure. Evaluation will be ongoing, so please feel free to review
any of the skills, taught throughout Kindergarten this year. Following is
a list of a few of the skills we will be evaluating for the June report card:
· counting to 100
· number recognition to 20
· counting objects to 20
· recognizing all upper and lower case letters
· knowing all letter sounds
· recognizing 3-D & 2D shapes
