Dear
Parents:
It
is hard to believe that a whole school year has almost passed and that it will
soon be time to say good-bye to the Kindergarten children.
The
children have grown and changed in so many ways and have learned so much. They
have developed their independence, become familiar with school rules and
routines, made new friendships, strengthened their fine motor abilities and
fine-tuned and broadened their academic learning.
June will be a very
busy month in Kindergarten. It will be a month of review and closure.
Evaluation will be ongoing, so please feel free to review any of the skills,
taught throughout Kindergarten this year. Following is a list of a few of the skills we will be evaluating for the
June report card:
·
counting to 100
·
number recognition to 10
·
counting objects to 10
·
skip counting by 10’s and 5’s to 100
·
saying the days of the week
·
recognizing all upper and lower case letters
·
knowing all letter sounds
·
identifying some basic sight words
Kindergarten

On
a closing note, it has been my absolute pleasure to work with such a great
group of children and I am so proud of what they have learned and accomplished
academically, socially and physically this year. It will be hard to say
good-bye because each of them holds a special place in my heart. I wish them
all the best in their years to come.
I
enjoyed being your child’s teacher this year!!!
I
thank you for your support throughout the year and hope that you all have an
awesome summer!!!
Signing
out for summer,
