2013 Newsletter
Dear
Parents:
I hope
everyone had a nice and relaxing Easter break. It was great to enjoy the change
in routine and the occasional sunny day.
This month
we will be continuing with our author study on Eric Hill. The children have
really enjoyed listening to the various “Spot “titles and playing on the” Fun
with Spot” blog site. We will also be finishing up the learning of all alphabet
letters within the next few weeks. In math, we will be completing our Exploring
Numbers: 6 -10 unit. We will be
practising counting orally to 80, skip counting by 10’s, 5’s, and 2’s, counting
backwards from different starting points (1-15) and printing formations of all
numbers 1 -10.
Please make
sure your child is dressed appropriately for the Spring season. The weather is
so unpredictable right now. The school playground is sometimes wet, muddy and
slushy in places. Rubber boots, extra socks, mini gloves, extra inside pants,
wind pants are just a few suggestions that you might want to consider.
It was so nice
to see you all again at parent-teacher interviews!!
Have a
great month and let’s hope for sunshine and warm Spring weather.
Sincerely,
Mrs.
